原本開心與家人到泳池玩耍，卻變成一生的夢靨，讓這位小女生從此失去大腸、小腸、膽囊等內臟器官，更是長達10年無法進食，16歲的她非常想念食物的滋味。

居住在美國的薩爾瑪巴希爾(Salma Bashir)，事故發生時她僅5歲，當時她正和家人在埃及亞歷山大度假，她不小心坐到游泳池的吸入閥上，突然一股強大的力量將她的小腸從身體裡扯出來，母親回憶「當時正在成人泳池裡看顧她的兄弟，薩爾瑪在嬰兒泳池裡玩耍，兩個泳池離很近，她坐在吸入閥上，吸力太大，來不及把她拉開，小腸就被吸出來」。

Hello, my name is Salma. I'm reaching out to you because I've been going through a hard time and recently I have gotten a second chance at life. I am currently 15 years old, 10 years ago I had a tragic accident happen to me and I lost my intestines then given two weeks to live. With help, I was able to come to the US to get a transplant. Unfortunately, when I received it then failed 6 month after. I have had an open stomach/belly since then because they were not able to close me back up. It's been such a hard time on my family and I. We have no insurance and also not eligible for it. Not long ago, I asked my doctors if it was possible to get another transplant and it was very possible. I will be needing 5 organs this time due to medication, it is going to be very expensive and we are unable to afford it. I am in dire need of it. I'm reaching out to anyone who is able to help. I have been waiting for this chance for 7 years and now that the chance is possible, I hope anyone is able to come forward. Anything at all is truly appreciated. 薩爾瑪當時身穿紅色泳衣，母親一開始還以為小腸是她撕破的泳衣，無法相信小腸全掉出來，薩爾瑪表示「我只是想游泳，不小心坐在上面，我知道所有人嘗試把我拉起，最後被救出去的時候，覺得快痛死」。等待器官移植的同時，薩爾瑪大腸與膽囊也不得不切除，現在她的胃有一個開放性傷口，每天要清潔傷口並透過它保持排泄功能。薩爾瑪無法吃東西，只能靠一個營養袋，稱「外部胃腸營養系統」，連接身體提供所需營養，胃部傷口需要常包紮，每次去醫院的治療的費用非常昂貴，每週大約1000美元，營養袋一劑大約300美元，如果要做器官移植則需300萬美元。
